Gifts and Volunteering
Give a book
Honor or remember a friend, family member, or colleague. Donate a book from our wish list or fund a book for our collection. We also welcome donations that allow us to enhance our collection on a larger scale. Consider a financial contribution or a gift of library materials you no longer need but fit within the scope of our collection. Your gifts are tax-deductible. However, the libraries cannot place a value on donated materials. Therefore, we suggest you contact professional appraisal associations for appraiser referral. We appreciate all contributions. Gifts receive personalized bookplates, letters of acknowledgement to the donor and recipient, along with credit lines in our online catalog. If you have questions or would like to make a donation, please contact Margaret Culbertson at mculbertson@mfah.org.
Give your time
We depend on the generous time and individual skills of our volunteers because they contribute to the vital services our patrons expect. By helping us process our gift books, build and maintain our artist files, shelve and shift books and periodicals, they make our collection readily available for library visitors. We also have volunteers who regularly work on special projects. As you can see, we have a variety of ways you can help us. Volunteer by contacting Margaret Culbertson at mculbertson@mfah.org.
