Frank Stella joins Gary Tinterow for “Conversations with the Director” on Thursday, April 14, 2016

On Thursday, April 14, 2016 Frank Stella—one of the most important artists of his generation—joins Gary Tinterow, director of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, for the next discussion in the ongoing “Conversations with the Director” series.

The program coincides with the opening of Frank Stella: A Retrospective on April 17 at The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, featuring 120 works, including paintings, reliefs, maquettes, sculptures and drawings. Frank Stella: A Retrospective is organized by Michael Auping, chief curator, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, in association with Adam D. Weinberg, Alice Pratt Brown Director, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, and with the assistance of Carrie Springer, assistant curator, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.

“Conversations with the Director,” now in its third year, is a series of talks with Tinterow, who engages an eclectic roster of guests in one-on-one conversations about the arts.
