Next up, the MFAH presents three new releases: The Whistlers, a Romanian crime thriller; the award-winning drama Vitalina Varela from famed filmmaker Pedro Costa; and the light-hearted cat-video compilation CatVideoFest.
The Whistlers
A crooked policeman named Cristi embarks on a high-stakes heist alongside the beautiful Gilda. The two travel to the Canary Islands to learn a secret whistling language as they navigate the twists and turns of corruption, treachery, and deception. See the Trailer

Vitalina Varela
Inspired by a true story, this drama stars nonprofessional actress Vitalina Varela. She plays herself, a woman from Cape Verde who travels to Lisbon in hopes of reuniting with her husband after more than 20 years apart. When she arrives, she finds out he died just days before. She decides to investigate, enlisting the help of neighbors and a priest struggling with demons of his own. See the Trailer

CatVideoFest
A joyous compilation of cat videos for the whole family, the annual CatVideoFest started in 2012. This year’s 40-minute reel brings together the very best videos from CVF’s illustrious history: unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and classic Internet powerhouses.
