María C. Gaztambide is associate director of the Documents of 20th-Century Latin American and Latino Art Project for the International Center for the Arts of the Americas at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. She holds an MA in arts administration from the University of New Orleans and an MA in art history from Tulane University, where she also completed her PhD in Latin American studies.
