“Expand your palette at the Glassell School.” —Houstonia

Discover your inner artist! Register for fall classes at the Glassell School of Art. Choose from socially distanced in-studio courses, or opt for virtual classes online. You can also enhance your arts education with art-history classes. Adults at all skill levels are welcome—no experience necessary.

There’s something for everyone at the Studio School. The fall 2020 semester offers an exciting slate of 2D and 3D courses for adults, from painting and ceramics to assemblage and jewelry making. Art-history classes are in the mix, too, with topics ranging from Medieval art to Pablo Picasso and beyond. Browse the Fall 2020 Course Catalog to find out more.

You can register in person by appointment, or sign up virtually by emailing glassell@mfah.org or calling 713.639.7500, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The fall semester starts on August 24. On-campus class enrollment is limited, to allow for social distancing and other safety protocols. Learn about the school’s safety procedures here.
