About hang@MFAH
The Museum offers hang@MFAH (Houston Art New Generation at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston), a leadership program for high school students that provides a unique out-of-school experience. This program empowers teens to transition from teacher-led projects to self-driven projects, bridging in-school and out-of-school learning and fostering active, thoughtful, and social engagement.
Weekly meetings with a mentor artist in the MFAH galleries explore the role of museums in the 21st century and the fusion of digital culture with traditional ideas. By connecting passions to new skills and knowledge, hang@MFAH helps teens navigate pursuing personal interests in a collective, non-traditional educational setting. Admission is through application only.
