The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and DACAMERA Young Artists present a concert inspired by the works of Jewish ritual art exhibited in the Albert and Ethel Herzstein Gallery for Judaica. The selections reflect inspirations from a wide range of traditional Jewish music in Europe and America, with pieces by Leonard Bernstein, Ernest Bloch, Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, Philippe Hersant, and others.

About the Performers
The DACAMERA Young Artists program is a fellowship for emerging professional instrumentalists, vocalists, and composers. The goal is to encourage musicians to develop the skills to become passionate, forward-thinking, community-focused “citizen artists” who reimagine the traditional notions of making music and contribute to society through the transformative power of their art and social engagement.
MFAH World Faiths Initiative
This program is part of the MFAH World Faiths Initiative, which seeks to highlight themes of faith, religion, and spirituality in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Focusing on the many expressions of faith in these collections, the initiative honors the diverse communities of Houston and inspires connections among cultures and beliefs.
